Since 2015, Chinese with Meggie has collaborated with colleagues in Beijing on an innovative Teacher Training Program. Through this partnership, we bring a small group of foreign language teachers from Beijing to the US once or twice each year.

While in Austin, the visiting teachers receive rigorous classroom training at CWM as well as the opportunity to lead their own classes under the supervision of CWM’s experienced teachers. Homestays with families in the Austin community provide further opportunity for cultural exchange.

Through this program, the visiting teachers also provide workshops and classroom support at a number of partner institutions throughout the Austin area. Partner schools in AISD include:
